Marksman-Operation

Getting the Marksman ready to shoot is a 4 step process. We get the scouts to count to 4 as they do the steps. If they have not counted to 4 they have not completed the steps.

	The first step is to pull back the release lever.
	Second, the pump is pulled back. It will stay in the back position until it is pushed forward. This also causes the safety to go to the Safe position.
	Third the pump is pushed forward. It will stay in the forward position. Note, the finger is off the trigger, because we are not ready to shoot.
	Forth, the safety must be move the Fire (forward) position. The gun is now ready to shoot.
